About Hosted EZ
Hosted EZ is an independent blog about web hosting: how to choose it, what it really costs, and how to do the hands-on parts without breaking your site.
Who writes this
The site is written by engineers who run server infrastructure for a living — a production fleet of more than 50,000 machines. Matthew Zhaoleads the writing. Everything here comes from operating infrastructure at that scale — the advice is what we'd give a friend, not what a press release says.
What we cover
Three things: guides that turn hosting jargon into decisions, comparisons that put options side by side, and how-to tutorials for the practical work — DNS, migrations, and the like. The audience is founders, small-site owners, and tinkerers: smart people who aren't sysadmins and don't want to become one.
How the site makes money
Some articles may contain referral links to hosting products. If you buy something through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Referral links never decide what we recommend — when a cheap or free option is the right answer, we say so. We don't sell rankings, and nobody pays to appear in an article.
